Some shenannigans about a store or entry fee or some other cool imaginative play that involves bureaucracy:

This year instead of just reciting Luke 2 from memory, they made a play!! Look at that inn keeper, and Joseph, and butterfly-winged angel:

Christmas concert at church with all the talented musical groups:

Hockey! This winter was a bit colder, allowing for a longer hockey season! Not a ton of snow, so not a ton of skiing, but that made the hockey all the more appreciated. This game is in Bemidji, during our Christmas visit.

Friends from BD tried out skiing - they did well!

This fine young man is now 10. One favorite family came to celebrate on the day, and the next day some neighbors came to roast a marshmallow and hold the chickens in honor of the 10 year old. 

Science museum visit #2. This blower keeps a ball in the air, but it also does cool stuff with your hair:
